Brightline West: LA to Vegas in Just 2 Hours

The long-awaited Brightline West bullet train is officially moving forward, promising to connect Los Angeles and Las Vegas in about two hours. With speeds reaching 186 mph, the line will offer a faster, greener, and more convenient alternative to I-15 traffic.

Tickets are expected to start at $119 for standard seats and $133 for premium. Beyond the convenience, Brightline West marks a milestone: the first true high speed rail in the United States.

Why it matters:

  • Travelers save hours each trip.

  • Las Vegas tourism could surge.

  • Real estate demand between Southern California and Nevada could expand as commuting and second home ownership become more viable.

Construction is underway, with full service projected between 2028 and 2031. For residents of LA, Orange County, and the Inland Empire, this could mean easier access to entertainment, new business opportunities, and a stronger connection between two of the fastest growing regions in the West.
